What is the history of yoga?
Yoga meaning "to yoke" or "to make one" dates back thousands of years, found to have orginated in Vedic orgins in ancient India. More history will be provided at a later date.

What are some popular types of yoga?
The most well known types of yoga are: - Vinyasa Yoga - Hatha Yoga - Restorative Yoga - Yin Yoga We will explore the differences soon.

What types of yoga will Desert To Bloom recommend:
Our program places emphasis on Yin and Restorative yoga. However, please feel free to practice any type of yoga that works best for you and you physical capabilities. *Always consult with your physician and make sure not to practice when injured. Desert To Bloom does recommend Restorative Yoga, but Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin are also great for the body.

Do I need to be experienced in Yoga before enrolling in the stress relief program?
No! The practice of Yoga and Meditation is not about perfection. They are just as describe about practice, and focusing on the present moment.
